The gender equality in my life and world is said to be equal but if you dig deeper its all wrong behind close doors. so women and men are supposed to have the same amount of rights as men but society still treat them as if this was the 60s. we give them the same job as a man but want to pay them less give them power just like man and see them as weak and give them a hard time. For example male professional basketball players make millions and is allowed to say and wear anything they wont. But women professional basketball players get paid less and they are fined when stepping up and putting, or showing support for a hot topic in the nation. Our nation still treat women as if they belong in the house doing the cleaning, and cooking.
Being that the Namas stay in the hot sunny desert of Africa i can see where the equality has a gap in it. Living in the united states is different we have had marches, protest, and even gave a mouth, called open mouth where we are supposed to praise how much women have help the nation change. women are looked on as the weaker one the who should do less work to the nama people. but re also a key to helping develop a strong nation and raise kids to become better then they are. Here in the united states women have to work because the man is not in every household. i the mother does not work to feed and raised their kids right they tend to live a bad life and bring down the nation and how we are viewed.
I have a lot of power in my country being a black man a lot of eyes are on me i can help make it better or feed into the stereotype. I could change how plenty of people see my race it they knew what i come from. The Nama people could make and impact but they dont have the power to make the whole outlook on the different groups in Africa. being that they are not the most powerful and dont have the most resources it wold be hard for them to do so. they have the power to move freely just like me, they have the power to practice their belief just like me. so we do have some similarity but some differences as well.
I would use say that they have the power to change them selves and how they are looked a pond but and to change the view of their country. i would use this in a positive light and because why make up lies about someone. I would not like if they go making up lies about america people when they actually know the truth. i feel like this information could actually help the nama people and how they are look at by people out side of their group.
